Embark on an unforgettable 4-day adventure that will take you from the High Atlas mountains to the golden dunes of the Sahara. Discover Berber architecture at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, stroll through the Valley of Roses and enjoy a night under the stars in the Merzouga desert. This complete tour combines spectacular landscapes, authentic culture and unique experiences in the heart of Morocco.
We begin our journey early from Marrakech, crossing the spectacular High Atlas through the famous Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass (2,260m), the highest in Morocco. Along the way we will enjoy impressive mountain landscapes and small traditional Berber villages.
We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for appearing in films like "Gladiator" and "Game of Thrones". This 11th-century adobe fortress is one of the best-preserved examples of Berber architecture in southern Morocco.
We continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa" for its film studios. Afterwards, we will explore the beautiful Valley of Roses, famous for its Damascus rose plantations and natural cosmetic products.
We end the day arriving at the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a traditional riad surrounded by impressive rock formations known as "monkey fingers".
After breakfast in the Dades Valley, we begin the day exploring the spectacular Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with vertical walls reaching 300 meters high. This place is very popular among climbers and offers a unique dramatic landscape.
We continue our journey eastward, passing through small Berber villages and palm oases until we reach the majestic Merzouga dunes, in the heart of the Sahara desert.
At sunset, we will experience something unique: a camel ride (dromedary) for approximately 1 hour to reach our traditional Berber camp in the middle of the dunes. We will enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the sea of golden sand.
We will spend the night in a luxury camp under the Sahara stars, where we will enjoy traditional Berber music around the campfire, typical Moroccan dinner and the magical experience of sleeping in the desert.
We wake up early to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara desert, one of the most beautiful natural spectacles in the world. After breakfast at the camp, we ride camels back to the meeting point with our vehicle.
We begin our journey westward, passing through the village of N'Kob, known for its traditional kasbahs and palm trees. We continue through the historic Draa Valley, the longest valley in Morocco, famous for its extensive palm groves and small fortified villages.
We cross the Anti Atlas mountains, a mountain range that offers unique landscapes and spectacular panoramic views. This region is known for its distinctive geological formations and authentic Berber culture.
We arrive in Ouarzazate at the end of the day, where we will spend the night. This city is famous for its film studios and for being the gateway to the Sahara desert.
On our last day, after breakfast in Ouarzazate, we will have time to visit the famous Atlas Studios (optional), where numerous international films and series have been shot.
We return to the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for a more detailed visit and to take final photographs of this heritage site. We will have free time to explore its alleyways and climb to the top to enjoy panoramic views of the valley.
We begin our return journey to Marrakech, crossing the majestic High Atlas mountains again via the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Along the way, we will make stops to admire the mountain landscapes and visit local argan oil cooperatives.
Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon (approximately at 6:00 PM), where our unforgettable 4-day adventure through the desert and Atlas oases ends. Transfer to your accommodation in Marrakech or to the airport according to your needs.
